Mr. A.B.M. Asaduzzaman has over 29 years of international experience in the field of microfinance management. Having worked in ASA Bangladesh and other countries, Mr A.B.M. Asaduzzaman joined ASA in 1991 and has rose through the ranks as Area Chief up to Managing Director for ASA Zambia. He holds a Master of Social Science in Sociology from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.

Mr. Kangombe has over thirty years of professional experience in the field of financial and risk management, auditing, tax planning, accounting, project management, business advisory and insolvency in Zambia and the UK. He is a Fellow of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, UK, and Fellow of Zambian Institute of Certified Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Zambia. He has also completed the Lusaka Stock Exchange and Securities Exchange Commission requirements as securities broker and registered representative, and received training in Privatisation Management at the International Development Training Institute in Washington DC, USA. He was one of the pioneers of the privatisation programme in Zambia, having headed the Business Analysis Division of the agency, a unit responsible for and to manage privatisation transactions. In 2005 he was one of the founders of Capital Equity Resources Plc, a SEC regulated asset management company. In the period 2009 to 2018 he was nominated as Board Chairman of Kukula Capital Limited, a private equity and venture capital company. He is a member of the Board and Heads the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee of Veritas General Insurance Plc.

Mr. Chitundu is an ICT Networks and Infrastructure specialist and unified communications services consultant. Prior to joining ASA Zambia, he worked for the National Aids Council of Zambia, Alliance One International and Specialised Systems Limited as ICT Administrator responsible for their IT operations and management. He has over 13 years of experience working in the ICT field in various sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and Mathematics and has a MBA in Information Systems. He is also is a member of Information Communication Technology Association of Zambia.

Head of Finance

Mr. Mozumnder is Accounts and Finance Manager since 2018. He is qualified Chartered Accountant and his professional experience spans over 22 years in education, health, hospitality and tourism as well as microfinance. He is equipped with thorough practical knowledge of banking and finance, Audit, Accounts management and setting internal controls for safeguarding the organization for all unseen possible losses and inefficiencies. He is an Associate member of the Zambia Chartered Institute of Accountants and brings a wealth of international financial experience to ASA Zambia.

Mr. Zulu has over nine years of experience in the financial sector having worked for FINCA Zambia and FINCA DRC, in accounting and Auditing roles. He has been involved in offering advisory services to management and various external and internal stakeholders in the microfinance sector. He is currently responsible for managing the Internal Audit function at ASA Zambia, offering advisory services to senior management and other stakeholders including the various committees at board level and other external stakeholders.

Ms. Mutentwa is Head of Human Resources and Administration since 2019. She is a senior HR professional, with over 2 years of operational and strategic HR experience. She leads the strategic direction of the company with regards to its structures, manpower planning and capacity building. Prior to Joining ASA Zambia, she worked with TATA Reliance, India for 8 months as Operations Officer and Customer Service Officer. She holds a bachelor Degree in Economics from Pune University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and Administration from Central Institute of Management, India.

Founder and President of ASA Bangladesh. He served many reputed committees and boards: Chairman of Asia Pacific Development Co-operation, Steering Committee Member of Global Best Practitioners Microfinance Network, Board Member of International Network of Alternative Financial Institutions (INAFI), Member CGAP/World Bank; Member International Technical Service Providers (ITSP) UNDP MicroStart Program Philippines & Nigeria. Board Member position held at several MFIs. Former Advisor Caretaker Government Bangladesh to the Ministries of Agriculture, Youth, Sports, Culture during 2006-07.

Mr. Rashid is currently the Executive Director of ASA International. Since joining in 2011, he has held the positions of Chief Coordinating Officer and Director. Prior to this, Aminur was a Director of ASA Bangladesh from 1992, closely associated with the company’s micro-finance program. Before joining ASA, Aminur worked at Grameen Bank, a fully regulated specialized bank for microfinance. With over 28 years of experience in microfinance, he has held multiple senior industry positions, and worked in extremely varied developmental contexts including Tajikistan, India, Mexico, and Nigeria.

Mohammed Azim Hossain

Mohammed Azim Hossain

Mr Azim Hossain has served as the Director of Investment, Treasury and Risk Management at the Group since 2005. Mr Hossain has over 34 years of experience in the microfinance industry and worked at ASA Bangladesh from 1984 to 2005 where he has held several positions including Director of Finance & MIS and Senior Finance Professional. While at ASA Bangladesh, Mr Hossain was in charge of its NGO Partnership Programme, whereby local NGO microfinance institutions received technical and financial support from ASA Bangladesh. Mr Hossain also established ASA Bangladesh’s finance and MIS systems and was involved in the design, development and implementation of products such as small and medium-sized enterprise loans, savings and insurance. Mr Hossain was actively involved in the development and design of AMMS at ASA Bangladesh. He has also assisted in the establishment of risk management frameworks and provided training on financial management and information systems at ASA Bangladesh. He has provided technical support in the microfinance industry to various microfinance institutions in countries including Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, the Philippines, Yemen, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Cambodia and Indonesia. He has also worked with the UNDP MicroStart program in the Philippines and Nigeria where he was responsible for development, product and services, financial management, performance analysis and business planning. Mr Hossain received his Master of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Dhaka in 1984 and served as a DANIDA fellow on “Project Management” at the Aarhus Technical College in Denmark.

Andrew Kamanga

Mr. Kamanga has first worked as a clerk at the Bank of Credit and Commerce in 1985 before proceeding to university. He joined the accounting firm Price Waterhouse after graduation in 1991 and briefly worked for Meridian BIAO Bank in 1994 before crossing over to auditing firm KPMG. In 1996, he joined electrical engineering firm Asea Brown Boveri and two years later, joined the newly established Zambian Energy Regulation Board as Head of Economic Regulation. In 2001, Kamanga established ENFIN Solutions, which operates as an energy and financial advisory firm and in 2007 he founded North Western Energy, a private power utility company involved in distribution of electricity to Lumwana Mine, parts of Solwezi and Kalumbila Mine in the North-Western Province of Zambia.

Alam Mohamed Zayed

With over 20 years of experience in the field of of medicine, Dr. Mohd Zayed Alam has worked as Managing Director and Physician at South Point Clinic and Hospital in Zambia. He has also been Medical Director, Shareholder and founder of Mum’s Care Clinic and Hospital. Furthermore, he was a Chief Medical Officer supervising a group of doctors at Pearl of health hospital and also worked as a Senior Medical Officer in different hospitals under the Zambian Ministry of Health. In Bangladesh, he worked as a Senior House Officer in the Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery. He holds a Master of Medicine in infectious disease from the Texila American University, has had an advanced training in HIV treatment and Management from RHRU of University of WITS in South Africa, an advanced training in Adult Management of HIV Medicine and Treatment under the Ministry of Health in Zambia, got his MBBS at the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh and obtained a Higher Secondary school certificate at Chittagong College in Bangladesh. He has a membership of various health societies which include Southern African HIV Clinician Society, British HIV Association, Infectious Disease Society of America, Zambia Association of Private Hospitals, Faculty of General Practitioners in Zambia and Coordinating Member and Focal Person from Private sector to the ‘Protocol Committee of HIV Care and Management under the Zambian Ministry of Health.
